This thesis analyses the possible correlation between the evolution of the on screen representation of minorities—especially homosexuality, and its evolution in modern society. The study gives examples of different stages a norm goes through and the different stages of the representation of a minority. This thesis also focuses on the representation of homosexuality on screen, and especially in the movie "Call me by your name".
