Optimisation de la durée de vie d’un réseau de capteurs

Abstract : Recent advances in embedded computing systems have led to emergence of wireless sensor networks, consisting of small battery-powered nodes. In these networks, controlling the energy consumptions is an important challenge, since energy is the scarcest resource of wireless sensor networks, and it determines their lifetimes. Algorithms and protocols must be developed in order to use energy efficiently and to maintain the network in activity al long as possible. In this thesis, we propose a decentralized iterative approach to improve the lifetime of a wireless sensor network. The proposed approach guarantees a fait workload distribution across the network. This approach ensures that each node will contribute proportionally to its available energy. We study the relevance of our algorithm to prolong the lifetime in heterogeneous wireless sensor network through simulation using OMNet++
