L’évaluation à l’école élémentaire : Source d’anxiété auprès des élèves

Abstract : Assessment is practiced in all class taught at school. It is an unavoidable ordeal during everyone's schooling and is sometimes painfully experienced by some pupils, because it can be a source of stress. The importance given to it forces teachers to constantly question themselves in order to know how to intelligently implement evaluation, that is, how to make it both useful and effective both for the pupil and the teacher. Thus, it is interesting to know what the alternatives to assessment can be to make it less stressful for pupils. A questionnaire was sent out to school teachers to find out what is the best method for them to assess pupils, that is less stressful and allows pupils to be assessed accurately. The solutions proposed are : Selfassessment, MCQ, trust contracted assessment, lesson-assisted assessment, continuous assessment by removing the summative assessment, national harmonization of the same assessment system for all classes according to levels, or the adoption of an education system that is similar to the Finnish model.
