Smart Rat City. La ville intelligente, un espace narratif

Abstract : This study revolves around three sets of data fields, related to the NYC rodent control program. The smart city can be perceived as a complex narrative space, in which participatory democracy yields ambiguous results. Could the city be smarter and its governance more horizontal, if a narrative approach was embedded in the municipal open-data portal, with an aim to generate an inclusive narrative in which all the individual micro-narratives produced by New Yorkers would insert themselves ?
